Today London’s Southbank Centre have announced that James Lavelle will curate Meltdown 2014. 2014 marks the 21st anniversary of both Meltdown and the birth of James Lavelle’s iconic record label Mo’Wax, so the celebrations will include Urban Archaeology, an interactive exhibition devised with Southbank Centre, which will celebrate the creative output of the label.
The festival will take place from 13-22 June. More information will be announced shortly!
As most of you know, James, Ben Drury and the Mo’Wax team are busy working on the forthcoming ‘Urban Archaeology: 21 Years of Mo’Wax‘ book, which is being published by Rizzoli next year.
So, we are asking YOU to help us by emailing over any photographs you might have from Mo’Wax days. We are particularly looking for any official press shots you might have taken (published or un-published), candid ‘behind the scenes’ or amateur shots, contact strips etc.
If you have anything you think might be of interest please email files (high res if possible please!) via wetransfer or yousendit to: firstname.lastname@example.org by Weds 31st July.
It’s been an amazing month of fundraising, and we’ve loved hearing all your feedback and support! If you haven’t already gotten involved, you now have just 24 hours to pledge on our Kickstarter campaign so get involved HERE and help us make it an even bigger success than we hoped for!
